A story to remember.
Why your reading this.
One question I remember hearing again and again as a kid was: how do we reach the right guests?
In my search for what makes businesses work online, I noticed a few key problems in the health, personal development, and creative industries. There are thousands of offers and creative people, each doing something meaningful — but only a few actually stand out.
Why?
There's a quote that's stuck with me for a long time: "it's not what you do, it's how you do it." Why is it that some people travel the world teaching transformational breathwork, while others offering a similar skill set and expertise disappears into the noise?
You know that feeling when you go to two different restaurants with the exact same ingredients and cuisine. You book a table at one offering fish from Europe — same setup, same fresh ingredients — but you don't know any of this. You arrive and are greeted kindly by clearly talented, knowledgeable staff and business owners. You feel welcome. But the menu has 27 dishes in total: French wine and bites, Italian pasta, Polish stew, Spanish tapas, all together. No explanation, no story, no order. Just 27 dishes to pick from. You feel wowed by the choice and the warmth of the people. How do you remember this place?
Now you go to the other restaurant — their menu reads "Stories from the Sea: a deep dive into Europe's finest fisheries and sushi-worthy seaweeds." You know exactly that eating there means investing in sustainable fisheries across Europe, only the best quality, delivered the same day, prepped by a family of fishermen with culinary knowledge passed down over generations. They ask about your needs and dietary restrictions and guide you on the best order to eat in. There are only 3–12 options on the menu — 3 appetizers, 3 soups, 3 main dishes, 3 desserts. There's a vision behind the food and its relevance, and you're guided into a culinary experience you'll likely remember — one that feels easy to choose from and catchy enough to tell your friends about.
That's the art of having a clear brand and position — the art of storytelling. You want to be specific enough to stand out and be chosen, and designed enough to be experienced and noticed for what you stand for — memorable enough.
Now bring that online.
After working in hospitality at experience-specific locations — Little V in Rotterdam and the W Hotels in Amsterdam — I translated that experience from offline to online brand experience design. Combining that with training in branding and UI/UX design, I now help health-centered coaches, professionals, creatives, and entrepreneurs design a brand experience that actually tells the story that makes them chosen and remembered.
And the best part: you get to be exactly who you are.

About
Fun Facts About Maisha:
Curious. Consistently endlessly curious about design, creativity, sustainability, and what makes people and businesses thrive.
Listen. Create. Music has always been a huge part of my life —falling asleep under tables listening to live jazz music. So Listen, then create. That's the approach.
Bold. Selling my belongings at 11 to buy my first phone because I lived far from my friends in Tanzania. Then, at 24, buying a one-way ticket to Brazil to build my remote freelance career. Some experiences don't just change your circumstances—they open worlds that can change your mindset for a lifetime. 😉 Build with conviction even in uncertainty thats what I learned.
Minimalism. Why use 5 apps when you can achieve the same results with 3 or ideally 1.
Vitality. Sports and Wellness with nature — my personal prescription for vitality and good energy.
Remote. My first remote work experience came unexpectedly. A sports injury during COVID meant I had to find a new temporary form of exercise and a way of working to recover (as I was working at one of the most well-known Vietnamese restaurants in Rotterdam). I was lucky with my timing and had the opportunity to work online, writing Instagram content from the coast of Tanzania, working on my thesis in the mornings, creating content in the afternoons, and spending two uninterrupted hours swimming through mangrove forests with my friend’s dog, Baloo. I had the best four-legged coworker by the sea. Why remote? Not only does it save time, but it also allows for innovative thinking and improved quality of work.
